Very pleased to announce that the extranet we developed for Oxford Policy Management is now live and being used by thousands of consultants across the world.
We were commissioned by OPM in 2008 to develop a bespoke consultant/resource management system as they just couldn't find anything "off the shelf" that could deliver the functionality they required.
Developed in .NET using AJAX we built a web based system that allows consultants to register and create a profile and upload a CV. The CV is indexed into a database and OPM can leave comments, ratings, and "tag" the CV with a customisable taxonomy system.
A powerful built-in search engine allows OPM staff to quickly find consultants with specific skills, save searches for later and even get notified when a consultant's record is updated to match specific skills.
A built-in document management system allows OPM to "check out" documents, update them for their clients and then "check in" the updated version. All previous versions are retained and can be accessed easily.
A role management system enables OPM to create specific users with roles to access the database and everything is carried out through an intuitive web interface.
The system is now live and in use and we're already working with OPM on enhancements to the system.
